75th Anniversary Philadelphia-Focused Special Project

The Etude Music Magazine, October,1948

To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Foundation, which was formally established in 1939 under various deeds of trust of the late Theodore Presser, the Trustees invited eligible institutions to submit proposals to support special projects that will especially celebrate and highlight the role of Philadelphia-born or -based composers and performers in the development of American concert music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

The 75th Anniversary Committee considered grant requests in the spring of 2014 for projects that took place during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.

The Foundation provided grants totaling $350,000 for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons in celebration of the Foundation’s 75th Anniversary.
